What kind of battery life can I expect?
The Barra GPSis designed to give you up to 8 years of battery. This is dependent on many factors. Most users see 2-3 years on average. If you need to maximize your battery life, please contact our support team so they assist.
Is the Barra GPS waterproof?
Absolutely! The Barra GPS is rated IP68 which beats almost every other GPS tracker on the market.
Does the Barra GPS need a clear view of the sky?
While all GPS trackers will perform better if they can see the GPS satellites, the Barra GPS has an amplifier and a large GNSS anatenna which will allow you to hide the device. If you intend to hide the device, just be sure to test it to make sure it can get signal in that location.
What type of batteries does it use?
The Barra GPS uses 2 AA batteries. We recommend the Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries.
Does the Barra GPS need a subsctipsion?
Yes, all GPS trackers will require a subscription to operate.
Is the Barra GPS Real-Time?
When you purchase a subscription, you can choose updates every 5 minutes or every hour.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes, we have a mobile app for both iPhone and Android. Just search the app store for “LoneStar Tracking”
Does the Barra GPS offer alerts?
Yes, most of our customers use Geofence alerts and also Movement alerts. You can also enable low battery alerts if needed.
